Know what to do if the worst happens. This is important, be it in the event of a fire, theft or an accident. But things turn out differently for many people when they become victims of an IT incident. Access to your own account is suddenly blocked, your smart home devices suddenly don’t work, or you receive threatening letters by email. These are just select situations where many people don’t know how to react. This applies not only to individuals, but also to self-employed people or companies.
The cyber security network, launched by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), would like to provide a remedy here. Both companies and private individuals affected by an IT security incident can turn to the cyber security network (CSN). The digital rescue chain is the focus of the reactive support service. Those affected can contact the CSN contact point via the free hotline number +49 800 274 1000 and will be referred to the appropriate link in the digital rescue chain. Alternatively, those affected can also contact a digital first aider, incident practitioner, incident expert or an IT security service provider directly.
From now on you know what to do in the event of an IT incident. You can find all information about BSI support offers at www.bsi.bund.de and on our various social media.
